sprinkler.

Last week our A/C went out... never fun when you're a Texan.
Luckily, my parents live less than a mile from us so we were able to spend
most of the day and night over there until they were able to come out and repair it.
At one point in the day, I'd left my parents to go drop off a few things at friend's houses
and pick up some lunch for the boys. We pulled back in their driveway
and as I was unloading the crew, their sprinklers came on.
This first picture is of Slade, BESIDE himself that the water came on.

After seeing that sweet face, I just decided to "go with it."
I unbuckled Carson, kept my car running & doors open so Miles could sleep...
and the big boys had an absolute blast running through the sprinklers in their PJs!
They managed to find a leftover carton of confetti eggs in my parent's garage so that added to the fun!

About the time the sprinklers turned off, KT called to say the A/C man had just left.
I loaded up the boys in their "birthday suits" and we headed home.
It was one of those parenting moments where instead of panicking cause the sprinklers
came on and rushing to get everyone away from the water... I just shrugged my shoulders
and thought, "why not?!" They had SO MUCH FUN, totally reinforcing the fact that
sometimes I just need to relax and embrace the moment... they are little boys afterall!

it's about THAT time.

Not sure if you all were around last summer when the Erin Condren Life Planner
PHENOMENON unleashed. But it was a for real "jump off the bridge because
all your friends are doing it" situation. And, I AM SO GLAD I TOOK THE LEAP!
My planner has been my constant companion for nearly a year.
I totally jumped on the bandwagon, but really and truly found myself LOVING this product.
First of all, it's so bright and so happy and FULL OF COLOR which totally rocks my world.
I know some have said that it's too bulky-- but I actually really LIKE the bulk.
It's substantial without being too much. I think it's the perfect size.
There's nothing in it for me to share all of this goodness with you all.
Just that if you're a busy mama like me with lots of kiddos, life plans, sports, functions,
holidays, meals, checklists, and to-do's on your plate... well then, you might want
to keep your eyes peeled because the Erin Condren Life Planners 2012-2013 versions
are set to debut by the end of June! I can hardly wait to see the new features & design options.
I will say that Erin and her team cannot be matched when it comes to customer service.
They are so willing to LISTEN to their customers to improve their products
to make them exactly what you want and need...
I am so excited to get my second Life Planner in a couple months.
Last year I hosted an Erin Condren "Show Us Your Life Planner" link up...
I think we'll definitely have to do that again.
It's so fun to see the different designs that everyone chooses,
what pens you love and fun tips and tricks that work for your family planning.
I saw this idea on Pinterest via HERE & think I need to snag some Washi tape for each kid!
Such a fun way to easily see who's got something going on.

So... tell me!
Do you have a Life Planner?
Do you love yours as much as I love mine?
Stay tuned for their release so we can link up and share once more!

mothers day 2012.

God is so good to me.
I celebrated this Mothers Day as Mommy to three precious little boys.

Mothers Day 2010 I celebrated as Mommy to Carson...
Mothers Day 2011 I celebrated as Mommy to Carson AND Slade...
And Mothers Day 2012, I celebrated with the three most precious boys God ever made.
We spent Mother's Day Weekend at my sister's in-laws land in the hill country.
I will say it's no small fete packing for a family of five.
Our car was FILLED to the brim. We managed to bring a bag for each person,
the bassinet, the MamaRoo, the Pack-n-Play, groceries, toys, THREE car seats and MORE!
It was a great getaway... my little guys LOVED the outdoors and all that comes with it.
My sister and her hubby just got a new puppy, so we brought treats for the new cousin Gus!
We just relaxed, makeup-free, with good food, porch swings, and lots of laughs!
We drove home on Sunday afternoon. It was a wonderful time spent with my family.

Later that evening, our little crew of 5 went to Lupe Tortilla for some Mexican food!
KT taught Slade how to "give rocks" ... monumental male milestone.
My thoughtful guys surprised me with these lovelies.
... and I went to bed thanking God that I get to be Mommy to Carson...
and Slade...
 ... and baby Miles!
... and before I go, I thought I'd share this. I know my mom meant to send it to me
on Mothers Day and must have forgotten. So, I am just posting it here for posterity.
I hope your Mother's Day was extra special.

moms & muffins

Last week my sweet Carson invited me to join him in his classroom for Moms & Muffins.
It was such a special morning and a treat to get to spend time one-on-one with my biggest boy.
He made me a beautiful "bouquet" of handpainted flowers,
answered the funniest sweetest questions about me, and served me muffins.
So blessed to be his Mommy!
Thank you sweet Carson for a special morning, just me and you!

fast friends.

These amazing women in this picture have just CAPTURED my heart.
Too much? Too cheesy? No but serrrriously?
I'm just so thankful for each one of them and I tell you what...
we're having the BEST time becoming great friends.
We totally brought our Life Planners like the cool kids that we are so we could plan
more girls nights, game nights with our hubbies and fun parties!
I can't remember when I've laughed so hard. We had to make ourselves go home after 11pm
(on a Thursday)... we could have stayed all night. A slumber party is on our agenda! :)
Love you Haley, Jacci, Lauren, Haley, and Jo!
Our friendship makes my heart so happy.
Last one in gets..........

two things!

I got way behind on blogging... two things real quick!

  • I've been studying to re-take my Texas Real Estate License Exam-- I got my license back in 2007 and let it expire. I had to retake it this year or I'd lose it for good. So, my computer time has been spent studying. I took the State & National exam on Tuesday-- and I passed!
  • I owe you all a WINNER from the "happy things giveaway" last week. The winner of the Blog Towel is: Valerie of Along the Way with V & J -- thanks to all who entered! I'll have to find some more fun things to share with you all this summer! Valerie, email me so I can get the towel to you before your beach trip!
I promise I'll be a better blogger... headed to a friend's house with Shipley's this morning!
Happy Wednesday Friends.

miles: 3 months.

Mr. Miles Richard is 3 months old!
I actually had my act together and got his pictures taken ON his 3 month birthday, which was
Monday... but haven't managed to get my blogging act together. So, the update is a wee bit late.
I'll fill you in on the happenings around here in another post... for now, lets focus on this chubba love.
Bless your precious heart Miles... you're just a doll. Ever since your surgery a few weeks ago
you are so content, so alert, such a smiling sweet boy! We are so thankful for your relief!
You were inching your way towards 15 pounds the week of your surgery, so I have no doubt that
at 3 months you've met the mark. BIG BOY! I shoved your sweet body into that 0-3 month white
onesie for these pictures. I need to dig through your big brother's bins for the next size up!
Speaking of which-- you can wear some 6 month month and 9 month outfits already. No surprise.
You're still in size 2 diapers for now, but we put you in size 3's at night. You eat A LOT!
Your brothers love you. They smother you with affection. Slade is always giving you a blanket
(over your face) and bringing me a bottle to feed you. Carson gives you "drive-by" kisses all day long.
He has been known to wake you from a nap with those kisses, so we're having to learn
when it's okay and when it's NOT okay to love on baby brother.
I'm excited to give you rice cereal and start baby food next month.
We started those at 4 months with Carson and Slade and they both did great.
I think you're going to LOVE food and it will help mommy out in the constant feeding department.
But, I do love that you're such a big, healthy eater like your brothers!
You don't love the car. There, I said it. I have to shake your car seat to keep you from crying.
You don't SCREAM but you fuss. More often than not you'll fall asleep-- but it's not your favorite place to be. You LOVE mirrors though. We have one in our entry hall and you and I stand there
and laugh and smile every day. You'll talk and talk to the baby in the mirror. So precious.
Sweet Miles, I just adore you. I know God made you so special
and I'm so excited to see your little life unfold. What a blessing you are to our family.
Happy 3 Months MRT!
