Little Miss.

If you've been following our family's blog for a month, a week, or the whole 6 year journey... 

then I hope that it goes without saying that we utterly adore our three boys. 

It's an honor and a privilege that we do not take lightly and we feel BLESSED 

beyond measure to have been given our sons, Carson, Slade and Miles.

And now. We have been blessed with the news that we have a daughter coming!

A daughter. Blaire. She's been on my heart for many years. 

And, not in a selfish, "gimme" kind of way... but, in a way that I can only explain, 

very concisely as, a promise God laid on my heart many years ago. 

I didn't know exactly how he'd draw up our complete family picture... 

but I knew she would be a part of it. 

Have I shown you her picture? She's just beautiful. 

And come October, our darling girl will be here. 

I am having the time of my life oohing and ahhing over all things pink.

Bring on the bows, ruffles, pom poms and ballet. 

I know she'd be just fine in puppy dog sleepers, wrapped in baby blue blankets 

and carrying a plush football... but we just can't have that, now can we? 

Sister needs a few things to call her very own. 

The Blaire Box is about to runneth over... here's what mama's loving for my girl.

Bla Bla Plush Dolls -- is ALL OF THEM too many to have?! They are so cute.

I'm saving ALL my pennies between now and October so I can hang this on her wall.

I've been dreaming of it hanging in my baby girl's nursery for years upon years.

This little pom pom pillow is screaming for a HollyGo monogram and a spot in Blaire's glider. 

Aden and Anais swaddling blankets have been my fave since I had Slade. 

Ironically, I seem to like the boy patterns they make much more so than the girls. 

But, I sure do love these hearts. I love the bee pattern they have too, but they only sell it in a set. 

Blaire's bookshelf is something I am so excited about. I loved to read as a little girl.. 

and there's been so many books I've wanted to buy over the years but haven't... 

because, well, they just aren't for boys! Bring on the Beatrix Potter, Ramona Quimby, 

Amelia Bedelia, the Princess and the Pea, and more...

baby blaire + the boys!

Whoa Nelly! We're almost halfway through this pregnancy... cannot even believe it!

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and everything looks perfect. 

Here's the baby Blaire bump at 17 weeks... 

... and an update on her big brothers too!

Carson only has TWO weeks left of preschool EVER. 

He's so big and changing into a "kid" more and more every day. 

He was officially 5.5 years old on April 20th and in a blink he'll be SIX! 

Sweet Slader is a month away from turning 3!! 

He's quirky, and sweet, and has the most precious facial expressions.

He's a simple kid with not a whole of lot of "wants." He never asks for toys or "things"... 

just give him a bag of yogurt melts, a sucker, or a cake pop and this kid is golden.

Milers is 15.5 months. He started walking at 14 months and is OFF AND RUNNING now. 

It's so funny to see him come toddling around the corner. 

He loves his big brothers, loves to be outside, and loves to swan dive in the bathtub, haha!

Baby Blaire, 16 Weeks

What in the world? Cannot even believe I am getting to write that title. 

To say that we are over the moon with excitement in anticipation of meeting our daughter... 

lets just say that one more time... in anticipation of meeting our daughter... well, that would be 

an understatement. We couldn't feel more grateful or more blessed by our family of six. 

So, here she is in all of her baby-bump glory at 16 weeks!

Cinco de Mayo Recipes with HEB

Arriba! It's Cinco de Mayo! 

I have two simple and delicious recipes to share with you this morning that were perfect 

for our family to get in the Cinco de Mayo spirit. These are Tex-Mex standbys that would be a

 welcome treat any day of the week for us. I got both recipes from the My Texas Table Cook Book

 courtesy of HEB. If you're a local and have an HEB nearby, I highly suggest you pick up a copy! 

It has so many light, delicious family favorite recipes, shopping tips, money saving grocery advice 

and more! This morning before we left for church, I whipped up some Migas and bacon. 

We love eggs and Migas happens to be my uncle's absolute favorite breakfast meal. 

Surprisingly, I've never ordered them! I was excited to try out this recipe; it was so quick & easy!

And since I know that many of you live out of state, and sadly do not have an HEB store... 

here's the recipe if you'd like to try it at home. You can easily modify the ingredients in this recipe 

to suit your family's taste. I love recipes like this where you can "add this" or "remove that!" 

I also put a pot of Cilantro Chicken Tortilla Soup on before we left for church so it would be

simmering and ready when we got home. It was SO yummy! All three boys chowed down. 

Any recipe that gets them to eat is ALWAYS a win in my book!

 This is another great recipe for adding in things your family likes and taking out anything you don't. 

Our weather is being SO weird, not at all like Spring. This soup hit the spot on a rare chilly May day.

Here's the super simple and delicious Tortilla Soup recipe we enjoyed today.
