sprinkles. tires. toys.

Sweet Stefanie came through with Sprinkles once again. She advised me that you can pre-order cupcakes online and schedule a pickup date and time. Ummm, yes please. Funny though, I was trying to place my order for 6 cupcakes and it wouldn't go through. I called Sprinkles and they let me know that you can only place a pre-order with a minimum of a dozen cupcakes... well, don't mind if I do! Stefanie already had an order placed to be picked up this morning (we were eye-balling the orange & lemon blueberry from today's menu)... so she offered to pick up my order, and we met in the middle to swap cupcakes! Thanks Stef. Below is a box full of cupcake heaven. And, the one in the bag is a GLUTEN FREE Red Velvet for my mom. She's tried to eliminate sugar since she found out she had cancer-- so she's so excited about her little G-Free treat.

Another of my wonderful friends called me yesterday to tell me she was getting four new tires on her car today and that if I wanted to meet her at the tire shop, the four old tires were mine! So, in the back of my car are four used tires ready to be transformed into the cutest party decor you ever did see. They won't be making their debut until the big THREE in October. I am so excited about Carson's birthday party theme-- he's going to LOVE it! Thanks Alex for the hook up on old tires! I have great friends.

As we've spent more and more time at home over the past few weeks, Carson has finally decided that the plethora of toys in our playroom are not half bad after all. I am really thankful that he's self-entertains so well, and that he's finally willing to play with all of these fun things we buy him without having an entourage of playmates around. The train table has been a huge, huge, huge hit-- if you have a toddler boy that likes trains, transportation, toys that make noise... this train table is worth every penny.

can you tell who already had a Sprinkles treat this afternoon?

Okay, today, both boys are napping and I'm finding that my morning Starbucks run and Dr. Pepper at lunch are not enough to keep me from laying down and joining them.

Hope you all are having a wonderful week so far...

  1. I am SO with you about the nap! I wish my little man would join yours in slumber-land.
I wish you had been there to see the girl who helped me at Sprinkles- I told her my name and she just laughed- she said she knew what I was there for (but she did say if you looked anything like me, she didn't know where we'd put a dozen cupcakes- I could have jumped over the bar and kissed her. I assured her you were a lean mama!)... I even grabbed you and Carson wooden forks and then left them on my counter. Bad me!
I LOVE that picture of Slade. Couldn't be more perfect.
And FINALLY ;) I am officially on the lookout for potential *things* for Carson's 3rd birthday- you just give me a little direction and I'll be all over that.
