give thanks. and more.

Happy Thanksgiving.
I hope you have had a food-filled, family-filled, very blessed day.
our day has been... different. not at all like a holiday.
but, my mom is feeling much better, my slader has not gotten any worse,
so blessings abound amidst our "off year" on Thanksgiving.

Backing up a few days... I think this was Tuesday?
I bought Carson some fake snow at the Nutcracker Market. I had planned to put it in his stocking.
But, with a baby not feeling great and an antsy bored toddler...
I busted out the snow and MAN WAS IT A HUGE HIT!
He has played with it endlessly for the past few days.
All of his cars, trucks, diggers, dumptrucks, and other miscellaneous construction equipment
have navigated his snowy terrain. He loves it, and that makes me so happy!
Love my boy and his all boy ways...
 Moving right along...
Yesterday, after a long, long morning at the doctor and two stops at pharmacies on the way home... Kevin stopped by for a quick second with a treat for Carson for being such a great boy at the doctor and for a little Thanksgiving love since our hopes of a Thanksgiving celebration were dwindling fast.
How cute are these turkey cookies from Maureen's and how sweet is Carson's daddy?!
Then last night, to continue his "bring home yummy treats" awesome-ness... KT got PF Chang's for dinner, one of my absolute favorite meals. Carson loves it too and always eats like a champ.
He's such a copycat of his daddy and always uses chopstix when we eat asian food.
We've stocked up on some of the kiddie rubber things to make them easier to handle,
but he really does great with them!
Can you tell we love this boy and we're kind of proud of him?!
We sure do love his baby brother too.
Can you believe that smiling little turkey has RSV?
He's the most JOY filled baby ever.
Here's my precious, precious boys BRIGHT and early (and I do mean EARLY)
this morning... dressed in their cute little Thanksgiving tee's for no one to see!
We had cartoons on... that's what Carson is looking at in every picture.
{Note to self, turn cartoons off when trying to photograph 3 year olds.}
Can't think of two greater reasons to GIVE THANKS!
Carson can't stand for me to take pictures of just Slade...
so here's big brother creepin' in!
There we go, mama's quick!
Precious angel, love him so much.
Later today, I pushed back our coffee table and brought down the big floor pillows from the playroom, covered them with a flannel sheet and let Slade roll around on a big comfy pallet.
He loved it.
Aunt Teri if you're reading this... that's the blanket you gave us draped over the table.
Slade stares at it with wide-eyed amusement. He LOVES it. It's doing double duty as a blanket and form of entertainment for him, so double thank you for one of our favorite gifts.
I did go to the store (before 9am-- told you we were up early)... and bought the fixings for a last minute Thanksgiving meal here. It worked out great and we've enjoyed a low key day--
watching football games, giving breathing treatments, walking to the park, snacking,
breathing treatments, online shopping (well, just me)... and just hanging out!
*****
And this one's for Santa... you know, in case he's not getting my emails.
Here's a nice little picture collage you can print out at your office the North Pole.
This list will serve you well if you are stumped for those "extra little things"
that might make your beloved smile on Christmas morn'...

meet you under the mistletoe!
