letter of the week: L

Oh goodness gracious. 

It's been two weeks worth of L around our house 

and even still our focus on the letter was a bit LAME.

Here goes...

L is for Lakers. Which, coincidentally is also for LOSERS.

KT was born and raised in Dallas, making him a major Mavs, Cowboys and Rangers fan.

He's been beside himself over the Dallas Mavericks SWEEPING 

the Lakers to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

As it turns out, CT is so excited too. We've been having Mavs parties for game nights.

 L is for love. Love notes, lovely yellow roses. 

On the same day I left this note on Kevin's pillow (gray paint swatch-- so clever)... 

KT came in the door with these pretty yellow roses just because he loves me!

L is for Lightening McQueen!

We had parent teacher conferences at preschool last week.

Carson got a GREAT report and has learned so much this year.

We could be more proud of him. He got to pick a prize for having such a great first year!

He chose a color-change Lightening McQueen.

 We went to the LIBRARY this week and got library cards for the first time. 

We've done the story time thing off and on,
but never actually gotten cards and checked out books.

Carson played LETS Make A Word forever... he loved the preschool computer games.

 Slade had a ball playing with toys... doesn't he look so BIG?!

 This isn't the final selection, but we did manage to come away with lots of truck books!

 Carson told me he was building a hospital... 

 The boys both had a great time... we came home with 8 precious books!

We came home and the boys lounged around in their chairs for a bit. 

 Then Carson instructed me to sit in his orange chair while we read all of his library books.

Madeline's Rescue, Toot Toot Zoom, Clip-Clop...

This one actually starts with L: Lots and Lots of Dots!

It's super cute.

 We're excited to go and exchange them for more fun books!

This just made me laugh... Sweet Slade being lazy drinking his bottle at lunch.

 Carson helped me make a grocery list this week... 

he said it said, "broccoli, tacos, enchiladas, and cheese."

 and last but not least...

my LITTLE BOY who is becoming less and less BABY everyday.

11 months old tomorrow...

Whoo hoo! We did it... L is checked off the list!

And next {this} week's letter is P!
