simple things.

I wouldn't go so far as saying it's actually Fall in these parts.
One day it's in the 50's, yet tomorrow's high is 82. Oh the joys of being a "Houstonian."
Regardless, the weather has cooled off enough that we can actually go outside
without melting, being attacked by the mosquitoes, or risking a heat stroke.
So... after that jolly introduction, let me show you what we've been up to...
simply enjoying the outdoors a little bit!

Slade is finally old enough to go outside with Carson and play for a bit.
It's so nice to have little playmates. They are both content to play and do their own thing
and actually play really well together (most of the time).
They are loving the new trampoline. Slade was scared of it at first and
would just lay flat on his belly and stare... but he's getting the hang of it!
My sweet ones enjoying some hot chocolate while they jump!
Thursday evening it was actually legitimately chilly so the boys bundled up to go on a walk
while I finished getting dinner ready. I sent them on a mission to find broken tree branches
so we could make our 2nd Annual Blessing Tree. Clearly Slade loves his knit hat.
They came back empty handed.
Apparently our HOA doesn't think stray branches laying around are a good idea.

Fear not! My sister's in laws live on land nearby and I knew that they could help us out!
So Friday morning we headed over there to gather branches, see their baby chickens and run around!
To say that they hooked us up on tree branches would be a MAJOR understatement.
I got piles and piles for more projects as well.
Carson and Slade had THE best time running around their barns, chasing the kittens,
and digging through piles for sticks. It made me want to move to the country and never look back!
My boys were in their glory!
Checking out the chicken coops and baby chicks with precious Mrs. Donna!
We are excited to get started on our Blessing Tree... as always, there's SO MUCH to be thankful for.

  2. I really want the boat sandbox for myself. Your boys look like they are having a blast playing outside! You really can't beat running around on a farm, perfect fall activity!
