thankful for my boys.

I have been a mother for 5 years and 2 months to the day today.

And never in that span of time have I hit my knees and THANKED GOD for my boys

more than in the past 6 days. Tomorrow marks one week since the incomprehensible attack 

at Sandy Hook Elementary School. My heart weighs heavy for that community. I have prayed 

for them daily. I have smothered my own children in prayers of protection. 

This is the season of giving. These three boys are God's good and perfect gift to me. 

I see them in a whole new light since last Friday. I cherish them just a bit more.

I didn't think it was possible, but my love for them deepened and my desire to protect them 

from the evil in this world has taken root in me. I am learning to give thanks for TODAY.

Each day with my family is a precious gift.
