Happy Saturday lovelies!! It's 75 degrees and beautiful here today making me feel less and less
crazy about having Guest Bloggers posting their Spring Favorites this past week.
I'm excited to introduce you to Rhiannon today! She has some great picks for those of you
still experiencing the transition from wintery weather to sunny days!
Hello Tichenor Family Fans!
I’m Rhiannon from beautiful, rainy and GREEN Portland, Oregon.
I hold down my own little corner of the world wide web at Rhi in Pink
where I talk an awful lot about my beautiful baby errr...toddler, Henry.
Spring in many places involves capri pants and shoes with no socks,
but in Oregon it requires some rain gear. While I’d love to go for a spring walk without
having to worry about rain gear, I love it here and can’t imagine living anywhere else.
Here are some of our spring essentials…
Fun fact: Oregonians rarely use umbrellas.
There’s a saying “If you don’t like the weather in Portland, wait 5 minutes.”
So, if you were to carry an umbrella, you might put it up and down a few times during your walk.
How do we keep from getting wet? Raincoats!
I have this sweet checkered windbreaker in my Gap cart for Henry. It will go with
most of his clothes and has a hood for erratic Portland weather. As a bonus, it’s thin
enough that it’s safe for him to wear while he’s strapped in his carseat. I’ve been
rocking the same Columbia raincoat for ages and probably will continue to this
spring, but I will need something to keep warm underneath it. I’ve had my eye on
this Peter Pan collar J.Crew merino sweater.
Now, it doesn’t always rain cats and dogs here, so in the event that it’s sunny, we need sunglasses!
I love these bright Babiators for Henry and OF COURSE I’m in love with these
Tom Ford “Rhi” Sunglasses. Definitely a splurge, but they were clearly made for me.
Of course if and when the sun comes out, we’ll probably hightail it outside for
a little picnic. This J.J. Cole Picnic Blanket is excellent, especially when the grass
at the park is still a bit dewy. It folds up into a tote and is machine washable.
And, what’s a picnic without a cute picnic basket? This Reisenthel basket is a lifesaver.
We use it for picnics, trips to the Farmers Market and countless other things.
It’s a bargain and also very easy to wipe clean.
There you have my spring favorites!
I’d love to meet some new people, so come on over and drop me a line!
